In this 45-second spot from 1990, advertising executives and a car commercial director are meeting at the top of a mountain (or, as the director says, “the top of the world”). As the director lays out his vision for the car commercial – featuring a glory shot of the vehicle sitting high atop the summit – the execs wonder how they’re supposed to get the car all the way up there.
“We’ll lift it,” says the director.
The relieved executives, realizing that their logistical problem has been solved, give the green light to the commercial, and the whole group returns to their vehicles. What are they driving? Jeep® brand vehicles, naturally. Go Anywhere, Do Anything™ capability can be mimicked on camera, but actually climbing to “the top of the world” is for Jeep vehicles.
