Keeping your vehicle clean takes a lot of work. Luckily for you, mud has been a part of the unofficial Jeep_® Wrangler uniform for as long as we can remember.

As great as it looks, the natural reminder of your latest off-road trek can’t stick around forever. Excess mud can put quite a bit of extra weight on your Wrangler, which can add to corrosion if left for too long. To make sure this doesn’t happen, we’ve come up with a few tips to help you get your Wrangler looking as good as new. We’ve also included a few tips for getting it dirty again, but we know you’re already an expert at that.

Tip #1: Lather, rinse, repeat.

When it comes to washing your Wrangler, there’s no better way to do it than with a little old-fashioned elbow grease. Grab some soft rags and the hose and wash down your Wrangler by hand. You’ll be able to scrub those normally hard-to-reach places and spend some extra time in the sun as a bonus.

Tip #2: Don’t forget a coat of wax!

After your Wrangler is dry, it’s time to grab some wax and give your Wrangler a fresh protective coat. Wax can help to fight sun and dirt damage to your Wrangler’s paint job, and we know your Wrangler sees plenty of both.

Tip #3: Get it dirty again.

Once your vehicle is looking just like it did the day you pulled it off the lot, it’s time to give it a true Wrangler makeover all over again. Consider taking an off-road trip to your favorite beach spot to help stay cool, or gear up and head out to a Jeep Jamboree near you.
