We’re as proud of the fuel economy of the 2011 Jeep® Grand Cherokee as we are of its ability to go anywhere the trail takes you. The Grand Cherokee serves up 23 mpg highway when equipped with our new 3.6-liter V6 engine, but we’ve been obsessed with getting the most out of every gallon of gas for a long time now. Just check out this awesome vintage CJ TV spot from 1980. At a time when four-wheel drive machines were dying off due to steep fuel prices, Jeep was serving up a legitimate off-road vehicle with a great mpg story.
