Jeep® “6th Man” Contest Winners

All across the country, men and women are using their power within to help their local communities and people in need. The Jeep brand teamed up with our Facebook fans to recognize some of those selfless community leaders, and from all of the worthy entrants, we came away with two incredible people to be honored at the USA Basketball exhibition game.

Steven Diaz and Denise Moore-Toth were the winners of the Jeep and USA Basketball “6th Man” Contest. Diaz, a wounded war veteran from Columbia, SC, founded Hidden Wounds, an organization dedicated to counseling combat veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and their families. Denise Moore-Toth operates Restored Paths in Cleveland, Ohio. Her organization provides hot meals, clothing, and supplies to the homeless.

Last week, Diaz and Moore-Toth were flown to Las Vegas with their guests for the USA Basketball exhibition game. During a second half intermission, the two winners were brought out to center court as the PA announcer directed the crowd’s attention to the JumboTron overhead.  Attendees to the games viewed a video highlighting the amazing work done by each winner. As the appreciative crowd applauded, former NBA player and ESPN correspondent, Jalen Rose, presented each with a $20,000 check to give to the charity of their choice on behalf of the Jeep brand.

We’re proud to honor Steven Diaz and Denise Moore-Toth as the winners of our “6th Man” Contest, but even more so, we’re proud of the selfless work that they each do to help their communities. For a full photo gallery of their big day in Las Vegas, visit the Jeep Facebook page.
